Willington and Evenwood through to final

Auckland Charity Cup holders Stanhope SSC crashed out of this years competion at the semi final stage today. Opponents Willington WMC led 6-0 at half time and went on to record a 9-4 victory. Kenny Wilks scored four with further Willington goals courtesy of Jack Evans (2), Conor Winter, David Knox and Bradley Burns. Stanhope replied with a brace from Sam Green, Aydan Bowers and Ian Peadon.
Evenwood Town booked their final spot with a 4-0 victory over Coundon Cons. Rob Worthy bagged all four goals for the winners.
Though the result went against them there was praise for Coundon from league secretary Lee Genner "Well done for getting the game on."
