Willington win penalty shoot out.

Willington WMC won the Colin Waites Trophy after a dramatic penalty shoot out with Middlestone Moor.
Connor Winter gave Willington an early lead and added a second goal after 25 minutes. Little had been seen of Middlestone Moor though they pulled one back through Mason Morrow on the half hour. A goal from Josh Farlow made it 2-2 after 33 minutes and Middlestone Moor took the lead through an own goal just before the break.
Kenny Wilks brought Willington level early in the second half but Farlow bagged his second of the game on the hour to restore the Middlestone Moor advantage. They looked destined to take the trophy but Josh Keerie scored in the 90th minute to make it 4-4.
And so to spotkicks. Willington missed their first penalty but then converted four in a row to win 4-2.
It had been a hard fought highly entertaining game and ref Mark Armstrong deserved praise for ensuring both teams finished with a full compliment of players.
