Holders through in Wright Cup

Middlestone Moor have dominated proceedings in the Norman Wright Trophy in recent years and they won through to this years final with 2-0 victory over Crook Wanderers. Aaron Jackson and Ellis Codd set up a final against Willington WMC or Evenwood Town.
Heighington won through to the last four of the Weardale Charity Cup in dramatic style with a 6-5 penalty shoot out victory over Willington WMC. The match had finished goal less after ninety minutes. Heighington face a trip to the winners of Stanhope SSC v Stanley Town.
Stanhope regained top spot with a 7-3 win at Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph. Ben Moore and Sam Green bagged hat tricks for Stanhope with Aydan Bowers completing their score sheet. Andrew Vincent, Jake Kielty and Ryan Peart replied for Telegraph.Aycliffe's Glenn Hendrix dislocated his shoulder however after successfully putting it back in place he returned to action in the second half. Notable for Stanhope was a 90 minute display from Dean Tinkler.
Connor Whitelock top scored with five goals for Ferryhill Town who beat Howden Australian 9-1. Joe Wilson and David Whitehead both bagged a brace for the victors while Joe Robinson notched a consolation for Howden.
Evenwood and Wolsingham shared the points with a 2-2 draw. Gareth McMahon and Leon Clark scored for Evenwood while Dagan Taylor and Charlie Dixon replied for Wolsingham.
