Middlestone Moor regain top spot

Middlestone Moor regained top spot with a 7-0 victory over Wynyard The Stables. Ellis Codd and Aaron Jackson both bagged a brace with further goals from Ryan Kelley, Ross Morrow and Joe Richardson.
Newton Ayclife Royal Telegraph moved up to third with a 3-1 win at home to Ferryhill Town. Goals from Niall Douglas, Mason Steed and Stuart Cameron secured the points while Kieran Walton bagged the consolation.
Heighington are fifth courtesy of a 4-2 win at Stanley Town. Shane Dodson picked up a pair for the victors with further goals from Martin Butterworth and Sean Carr. Shawn Lines and Niall Teneur scored for Stanley.
Mitch Richardson notched a hat trick to set up a 6-1 win for Crook Wanderers at Howden. Markhim Lonsdale, Nathan Johnson and Adam Blair completed Wanderers tally. The plaudits though must surely go to Howden's John Chambers with his first goal for eight years.
Stanhope SSC gained revenge for a narrow defeat in the South Durham Bowl semi final by winning a repeat against Evenwood in the Auckland Charity cup. Lewis Martin gave Stanhope a first minute lead and they were never in arrears. Evenwood did pull back to 2-2 just before half time but Stanhope added a third from the kick off and went on to win 6-3. Martin completed a hat trick while Ian Peadon, Jack Barker and Aydon Bowers were the other Stanhope scorers. Willington or Middlestone Moor await in the final.
