Willington and Heighington book final dates

The Good Friday Norman Wright final will be between Middlestone Moor and Willington WMC after the WMC won a dramatic penalty shoot with Evenwood Town today. It was 2-2 after ninety minutes with Morghan Claydon and Kenny Wilks the Willington sccorers. Willington won the resultant shoot out 6-5.
Heighington beat Crook Wanderers 3-2 in an excellent Colin Waites cup semi final. Goals from Martin Butterworth, Shane Dodson and Michael Condron saw Heighington through. They trailed 2-1 but fought back well after Wanderers went down to ten after thirtyfive minutes. Johnny Winter and Andrew Robinson were the Wanderers marksmen. Heighington will meet Ferryhill Town in the Easter Monday final.
Willis White, Scott Maughan and Ellis Codd earned Middlestone Moor a 3-0 victory over Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph in the quarter final of the Weardale cup. Middlestone Moor are rewarded with a home semi final against Evenwood Town.
The leadership changed yet again when Stanhope SSC regained top spot with a 9-1 victory over Stanley Town. Lewis Martin bagged five goals while Sam Green's hat trick included his fiftieth of the season. George Lee completed the list of Stanhope scorers.
Ash Murphy, Brad Wilkinson and Cameron Nicholson all picked up pairs to earn Ferryhill Town a 6-1 win at home to Wynyard The Stables.
