Third final for Middlestone Moor
Middlestone Moor will meet Stanhope SSC in the Weardale Cup final following a 4-0 semi final victory over Evenwood Town tonight. Scott Maughan, Ethan Grayson, Reece Barras and Ellis Codd scored the goals to take Middlestone Moor through to the final at West Auckland next Monday morning. Kick off 11am.
Ferryhill's final home game of the season brought a first defeat when they lost 6-4 at home to Stanhope. The SSC led 4-1 at half time. Ferryhill pulled back to 4-3 but Stanhope regained control to lead 6-3 before Ferryhill scored their fourth. Stanhope scorers Matthew Price (3), Sam Green, Lewis Martin and Ian Peadon. Ferryhill replied through Craig Bowmer, Cameron Nicholson, David Whitehead and Ashley Murphy. The win takes Stanhope back to the top of the table.
