Leaders maintain gap

Middlestone Moor lost on the opening day of the season but since then they have won four league games in a row. The latest victory came today when they entertained Stanhope SSC. After a goalless first half two goals from Ross Morrow secured the points for the league leaders. Neither side was at full strength with Stanhope fielding two with a combined age of ninety.
Willington WMC returned to winning ways in the league with a 2-1 victory at Coundon Cons. Josh Keary and Michael Hull scored for Willington while Ash Murphy bagged what was to prove the Cons consolation. The win moved Willington up to second.
Evenwood Town are one of three teams on six points following a 4-o win at Howden Australian.
