Middlestone Moor through in Minor Cup

Middlestone Moor won through to the last eight of the Bob Strophair Durham Minor Cup in coming back from 2-0 down to beat Barnard Castle 4-2. Ethan Grayson and Ross Morrow both scored twice to secure an excellent win.
Evenwood Town are out after losing a penalty shoot out at Gateshead Leam Rangers Reserves 7-6. The teams had been level 2-2 after ninety minutes.
Jack Evans top scored with four in Willington WMC's 13-0 victory over Howden Australian. Other goals came courtesy of Morghan Claydon (2), Liam Whitworth (2), Matty Littlefair (2), Michael Raine, Bradley Burns and Josh Keerie. Lee Genner paid tribute to Howden "They only had eight when we kicked off but they never gave up".
A "depleted" Stanhope SSC trailed Coundon Cons 2-0 at half time. Vinnie Gascoigne-Allen reduced the arrears but Coundon bagged a "fortuitous" goal to make it 3-1. Sam Green pulled it back to 3-2 from a penalty on 85 minutes but there was still time for Cons to bag a late fourth goal.
