Stanhope SSC early leaders
Ian Peadon bagged a hat trick for Stanhope SSC in an 8-2 win at Wynyard the Stables. Sam Green (2), debutant Steven Peart, Ethan Fairless and Aydan Bowers completed the Stanhope score sheet while Wynyard replied through a penalty and an own goal..
Reigning champions Middlestone Moor kicked off the new season with a 7-2 win at Wolsingham. Josh Farlow bagged four for the victors with further goals courtesy of Aaron Jackson (2) and Scott Maughan. Kieran Raine and Kieran Maddison responded for Wolsingham who played with ten for the first half and ended with ten through injury.
A brace from Declan Scott earned Ferryhill Town an excellent 2-1 win at home to Willington WMC.
Goals from Adam Blair and Mitch Richardson gave Crook Wanderers a 2-0 win at Heighington.
Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph kicked off with a 5-1 victory over Stanley Town. Josh Bayne scored twice with further Telegraph goals from Corey Denton, Kian Fletcher and Joseph Fawcett.Liam Ridley pulled one back for the visitors.
There was a winning start for newcomers Howden Australian who defeated Evenwood Town 4-3. Dan Conlon (2), Luke Robinson and Niall Newton were the Aussie marksmen while Evenwood replied through Gareth McMahon snr, Chris Howe and Callum Crook.
