Meanwhile Willington WMC moved up to fourth with a 5-1 victory over Howden Australian who replied through Lucas Baker. Australian manager John Chambers said "I was so proud of our lads today. Fighting performance at 3-1 down with just 10 mins to go. Willington class told but we would have lost this game 15-0 a few weeks ago so we are getting better".

The win was revenge for Heighington who were knocked out of the South Durham Bowl by Telegraph last week by the same score.
