Derby ends all square

Stanhope SSC missed out on the opportunity to open up a seven point lead at the top when they were held to a 2-2 draw in the derby at Wolsingham. The home side took the lead from a speculative effort from Dagan Taylor but Stanhope levelled through Sam Green. Jake McKellar regained the lead for Wolsingham in the second half then Green bagged his second of the game from a penalty to ensure the points were shared. The verdict from Stanhope's Dean Tinkler "Well done Wolsingham proper battling derby. Think a draw was a fair result".
Heighington consolidated their mid table position with a 5-2 victory over Howden Australian. A Martin Butterworth hat trick set up the win while Noah Burnip and Adam Lynas completed the Heighington
scoresheet.Lucas Baker bagged a brace for Howden. Man of the Match was the Howden keeper "with about seven worldie saves"
The Towns of Ferryhill and Evenwood shared the spoils for the second time this season with a 2-2 draw. Ash Murphy scored both for the home side. "Well contested" was the verdict of Ferryhill's Jeff Spooner.
Willington WMC returned to winning ways with a 1-0 victory at home to Wynyard The Stables. "Good game" reports Stables Jacob Ellington.
