Newcomers Coundon kick off with win
Newcomers Coundon Cons kicked off the campaign with a 7-0 victory over Howden Australian.Joe Hardaker bagged a hat trick with further Coundon goals courtesy of Rory McCluskey (2), Michael Condron and Jordan Maughan.
Middlestone Moor's attempt to win the league for a fourth consecutive year suffered a blow when they lost by the only goal at Willington WMC. Lee Brown bagged the WMC winner in the first half. The Willington star however was keeper Andrew Stocks with a series of fine saves.
Stanhope SSC went a goal down early on at Evenwood but levelled through Steven Clough. The home side led 3-2 at half time and added three more in the second half to complete a 6-2 win. Gareth McMahon bagged a hat trick for Evenwood with further goals courtesy of Jamie Lamb, Marc Bell and Matty Coatsworth. George Lee scored Stanhope's second.
