Leaders Telegraph back on track

League leaders Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph returned to winning form with a 9-3 victory at Wolsingham FC. Ryan Peart and Niall Douglas both scored hat tricks with further goals from Jimmy Cameron, Mason Steed and Drea Latue. Callum Blades, Dagan Taylor and Kieran Maddison were the Wolsingham marksmen. Wolsingham's Nick Elliott said "We were very poor but they were very good". From Telegraph "Credit to Wolsingham for running till the end".
After losing two in a row Heighington bounced back to beat Ferryhill Town 2-1 through James Hodgson and Luke Catchpole. Ash Murphy bagged the consolation for Ferryhill who have gone three games without a win.
Stanhope SSC took a second minute lead at home to Middlestone Moor through Vinnie Gascoyne-Allen. The visitors quickly turned the game round to lead 4-1 through Ross Morrow, Aaron Jackson, Reece Barras and an own goal. Sam Green reduced the deficit just before half time. That, despite pressure from the home side, proved to be the end of the scoring and the end of Stanhope's unbeaten run.
There was a cracking game at Evenwood where the home side just edged Stanley Town 6-5. Liam Blithe (2), Gareth McMahon (2), Jamie Lamb and Dale Dunn earned Evenwood the points while Nathan Anderson (2), James Fawcett, Liam Orr and Matty Dixon replied for Stanley.
Having won their previous two, Wynyard were favourites going into the game at Crook Wanderers but the home side ended a three match losing run with a 5-2 win. Mitch Richardson bagged a hat trick with further goals courtesy of Danny Smith and Will Reed. Max Tennant and Jack Hall notched the consolations.
