Willington WMC v Stanhope SSC, two sides with title aspirations and surely a close game envisaged. Home side Willington took the lead with a goal from David Knox but by half time Stanhope had turned the game round to lead 3-1. The second half was to prove one way and Stanhope ran in five more without reply. Sam Green scored seven with Vinnie Gascoigne-Allen completing an 8-1 win that opened up a four point lead over second side Middlestone Moor though they have three games in hand.
Evenwood Town 5 Howden Australian 2 would suggest a straight forward win for the former but that was far from the case. Goals from Oscar Tulip and Lucas Baker saw the Aussie lead 2-1 with 15 minutes remaining before Evenwood salvaged the points with a late rally. L Blythe (3) amd G McMahon (2) were the Evenwood scorers. "Gutted" was the verdict of Howden's John Chambers who added "well done to Evenwood though - cracking battle".
