Willington book Bowl final spot

Willington WMC won through to the final of the South Durham Charity Bowl with a 10-1 victory at Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph. Kenny Wilks and Michael Hull both scored four with further WMC goals from Jak Crotcher and Jake Louth. Joseph Fwcett responded for Telegraph. "Not at the races at all" reports Telegraph's Declan Middleton.Willington's win set up a final against Evenwood Town.
Middlestone Moor won through to the semi final of the Alan Britton Memorial Trophy in beating Ferryhill Town 6-0 away. Ross Morrow bagged a hat trick with further goals courtesy of Aaron Jackson, Scott Maughan and Joe Richardson.
Evenwood Town reached the last four with a 2-1 win at Heighington. Martin Butterworth bagged the consolation for the home side.
Semi final draw: Evenwood v Middlestone Moor; Wolsingham v Willington WMC.
Stanhope brought a three match losing run to an end when they came back from 2-1 down to beat Crook Wanderers 7-2 in the league. Stanhope scorers were Lewis Martin (3), Sam Green, Ian Peadon, George Lee and Dean Tinkler. Danny Smith bagged a pair for Wanderers. Stand in keeper Stuart O'Dell produced some excellent saves for the home side who return to the top.
Wynyard The Stables moved up one place with a 6-0 victory over Stanley Town. James Burdon notched a hat trick with further goals from Anthony Carter (2) and James Dexter.
