Excellent results in Minor Cup
Middlestone Moor won through to the semi final of the Bob Strophair Durham Minor Cup with an excellent 2-1 win at Newton Aycliffe YFC today. Goals from Adam Watson and Ross Morrow secured victory over a team that has yet to drop a point in their league.
Evenwood Town progressed to the quarter final stage with a 2-0 victory over Leam Rangers Reserves. Gareth McMahon and Robert Worthy were the marksmen.
Coundon Cons booked a semi final place in the Weardale Charity cup with a 6-0 win at Howden Australian. Scorers Jordan Maughan (2), Ash Murphy (2), Callum Teasdale and Dylan Howe. Coundon join Middlestone Moor and Willington in the last four and they will be joined by Stanhope SSC or Evenwood Town.
