Middlestone Moor took over top spot with a 3-1 win at Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph. Aaron Jackson, Lewis Coatsworth and Josh Farlow scored for Middlestone Moor while Telegraph replied through an own goal.
Wolsingham opened up a gap over the bottom two with an 8-2 victory over Howden Australian. Kieran Richardson (2), Scott Hutchinson (2), Kieran Raine, Dagan Taylor, Jack Watson and Jack Anderson scored for Wolsingham with Howden replies courtesy of Adam Wright and Luke Robinson.
Crook Wanderers completed the double over Wynyard The Stables with a 4-3 win. Danny Smith (2), Mitch Richardson and Adam Blair secured the points for Wanderers.
The last time Willington WMC entertained Stanhope SSC the visitors ran out 8-1 winners. Today the WMC gained full revenge in The Alan Britton Cup quarter final and a 6-1 victory sets up a semi final at Wolsingham. Willington took a first half lead but Stanhope were on terms at half time through Lewis Martin or it may have been Sam Green.
Willington were totally in control in the second half and ran in five goals without reply. "We collapsed" was Clem's verdict.
Evenwood Town have shown good form recently and they reached the semi final of the Weardale Cup with a 5-3 defeat of Ferryhill Town. Gareth McMahon bagged a brace with further Evenwood goals from Mattie Moffat, Myles Swift and Jude Bowes. Ash Murphy (2) and Craig Bowmer replied for Ferryhill. Evenwood's reward is a trip to the winners of Middlestone Moor v Royal Telegraph.
