Ferryhill move up

Ferryhill Town maintained their unbeaten home record when a hat trick from Shane Bowmer set up a 5-3 victory over Crook Wanderers. Declan Scott and Josh Gash were the other Ferryhill scorers. Mitch Richardson (2) and James Taylor responded for Wanderers. "A well contested game" was the verdict of Ferryhill's Jeff Spooner.
Heighington returned to winning ways with a 3-0 victory at Howden Australian. Scorers Martin Butterworth, Shane Dodson and Sean Carr.
The Stables and Wolsingham shared the points and six goals at Wynyard. Jack Hall (2) and Jimmy Horton were the Stables marksmen while Wolsingham replied through Kieran Maddison, Dagan Taylor and Charlie Dixon.
Evenwood Town progressed in the Auckland Charity cup with a 2-1 victory over Stanley Town. Liam Blighe and Jamie Lamb saw Evenwood through while Jay Hern bagged the consolation for the visitors.
