South Durham Charity Bowl Final

By Maurice Galley

Second trophy for Middlestone Moor

Middlestone Moor collected their second trophy of the season with a 4-1 victory over Evenwood Town in the South Durham Bowl final at Bishop Auckland.
There was little between the two sides in the first half but Middlestone Moor led 1-0 at half time thanks to Ellis Codd's opener on the half hour.
Evenwood had keeper Hannant to thank for a series of good saves but he was beaten by Mason Morrow who made it 2-0 on 70 minutes. It quickly became 4-0 with Scott Morrow bagging a brace on 75 and 80 minutes. Joseph Johnson scored a consolation for Evenwood late in the game but they had a man sent off to round off a poor second half.
