Evenwood kicked off with a win at Barnard Castle Glaxo Rangers in the only first division game. Gareth McMahon and Liam Armstrong both scored twice with Jamie Lamb wrapping up a 5-1 victory. Jack Brown pulled once back for the home side.
Heighington are the early leaders in division two after opening the campaign with a 7-0 victory over Stanley Town. Joe Joyce bagged a brace with further goals courtesy of James Alderson, Sean Carr, David Parker, Sam Joyce and Louis Whensley.
Ryan Readman bagged four goals to ensure a winning start for Wolsingham at home to Ferryhill Town. Jake McKellar, Scott Hutchinson, Kieran Raine and Dagan Taylor were also on target for the dales side in an 8-4 victory.
Newcomers Wynyard The Stables suffered a 5-0 defeat in their opener at Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph. Scorers for the home side were Josh Bayne, Mason Steed, Jack Oliver, Jack Mitchell and Ryan Peart.
