Masons go top

Middlestone Moor Masons Arms top division one following a 9-0 victory over Stanhope SSC.Niall Short top scored with four with further Masons Arms goals courtesy of Farlow, Jackson, Summerson, Cantwell and Phillipson.
Second division leaders Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph went down 3-2 at home to Heighington. Reed Molloy bagged a brace for Telegraph but Heighington took the points thanks to Shane Dodson (2) and Ryan Mercer.
Crook Wanderers and Ferryhill Town ended 3-3 after ninety minutes in the Auckland Charity Cup with David Gibson, Shane Todd and Billy Snaith on target for Ferryhill. They progress to the last eight after winning the shoot out 5-4.
Adi Weston bagged five goals for Darlington Deacon to set up an 11-0 victory over Catchgate Community FC in the South Durham Charity Bowl. Other Deacon goals came courtesy of an own goal, Crampton, Baines and a hat trick from Longstaff.
Willington WMC joined Deacon in the last eight with a 3-1 win at home to Bishop Pavilion. Jonny Bailes, Kenny Wilks and Mark Singleton scored for Willington while Dale Dunn pulled one back from a penalty.
Second division Wolsingham had a very good 5-3 win at Barnard Castle Glaxo Rangers in the Norman Wright Memorial Trophy. Jamie McDougall, Ty Morgan and Ryan Anderson scored for the home side but Wolsingham go through with goals from Scott Hutchinson (2), Dagan Taylor, Connor Ward and Mick Stothart .
Evenwood Town progressed with a 4-1 win at Langley Moor The Station. Gareth McMahon, Ashley Murphy, Jamie Lamb and Tyler Thompson scored for the victors while Tom Cochrane notched the consolation.
A minutes silence was observed before games in memory of Bob Strophair who passed away this week.
