Middlestone Moor make final

Middlestone Moor won through to the final of the Norman Wright Memorial Trophy but they had to go to penalties to overcome second division Heighington. It finished 2-2 after ninety minutes with Heighington goals from Phil Park and Sean Carr cancelled out by Ross Morrow and Scott Maughan. The spot kicks went to Middlestone Moor 4-3 and they will face Willington WMC in the Good Friday final.
Ferryhill won the all second division Weardale Cup quarter final clash with Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph 4-0. The victors face a trip to Middlestone Moor in the semi final.
Willington WMC consolidated top spot in division one with a 10-0 win in their penultimate match at Evenwood Town. Evenwood secretary Chris Geddes commented "I had to play and it was only 1-0 when I came off knackered after 35 minutes". The WMC entertain Middlestone Moor in their final game and a win would see them clinch the title.
Crook Wanderers have been in good form recently and a 2-1 win at Wynyard sees them up to third. A brace from Luke Ellison secured the points for Wanderers while Joe McCluskey replied for Wynyard.
