Telegraph Minor Cup run over

Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph's Durham Minor Cup run came to an end at the semi final stage when they lost 3-0 at home to Wolviston Youth. "Not our day today" reports Telegraph's Declan Middleton.
Barnard Castle FC gained an excellent 3-1 win at home to Middlestone Moor to book a place in the Alan Britton Memorial final. Josh Bousefield, Rob Dixon and Will Hovington scored for Barney and Willis White reduced the arrears. In the final Barnard Castle will face Stanhope, Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph or Willington.
Evenwood Town reached the semi final of the Weardale Cup in beating Stanhope SSC 5-4 on penalties. Goals from Sam Green and George Lee had seen Stanhope lead twice in normal time that ended 2-2. Gareth McMahon cancelled out both Stanhope goals and Evenwood will face Willington WMC in the last four. Clem had one word to describe the Stanhope performance "Atrocious".
Willington WMC made it through to the semi stage with a 2-1 win at home to Heighington, Jack Crotcher and Kenny Wilks were the Willington marksmen while Martin Butterworth pulled one back for Heighington.
Dagan Taylor bagged a hat trick for Wolsingham in a 10-1 win at home to Stanley Town. Other Wolsingham goals came courtesy of Connor Ward (2), Jake McKellar (2), Josh Spence, Scott Hutchinson and Leon Hopps. Liam Ridley reduced the arrears.
Tucker Bailes and Chris Oliver earned Crook Wanderers a 2-1 victory at Ferryhill Town. Joe Wilson scored for Ferryhill. The win moved Wanderers up a place to fourth.
