Ryan Peart, Glen Hendrix and Jimmy Cameron all scored twice to set up a 10-0 win for pace setters Ferryhill Royal Telegraph at Wynyard The Stables. Kian Fletcher, Niall Douglas, Mason Steed and an own goal completed Telegraph's scoresheet.
Ferryhill have had a cracking start to the season with victories over last years top two in their opening games. A win against Willington was followed up tonight with a 4-2 victory over champions Middlestone Moor. Ashley Murphy (2), Chrissy Smith and Thomas Rawlinson scored for Ferryhill with Masons replies from Rhys Porter and Aaron Jackson.
Willington picked up their first win in beating Crook Wanderers 3-1 away. Mitch Richardson was the Wanderers marksman.
Heighington picked up their first points with a 3-0 win at Evewood Town. Scorers Andrew Jinks, Alan Haycock and Jamie Williams-Hudson.
Wolsingham got off the mark with a 1-1 draw in the Weardale derby at Stanhope SSC. The visitors took the lead on the half hour through Connor Peart and Stanhope had to wait till four minutes from time for Vinnie Gascoigne-Allen's equaliser. "If I was to be honest " said Clem "they controlled the game though we had chances".
A hat trick from James Fawcett set up a 6-3 victory for Stanley Town over Howden Australian. Other Stanley goals came courtesy of Jason Hern (2) and Jake Taylor while Howden responded through Shane Lee (2) and Lucas Baker.
