Norman Wright Cup Final - 15 April 2022

By Maurice Galley

Middlestone Moor well deserved winners

Middlestone Moor won the Norman Wright Trophy for record sixth time in beating Willington WMC 2-0 at Tow Law this morning.
Willington keeper Andrew Stocks was his sides hero in the 7th minute when he saved an Aaron Jackson penalty. Kicking down the slope Middlestone Moor were well on top but half time arrived goalless. Ross Morrow broke the deadlock on the hour when he cracked an unstoppable shot high into the net. Ellis Codd ended any Willington hopes when he added a second ten minutes from time.
