Third trophy for Middlestone Moor

Middlestone Moor collected their third trophy of the season in beating Willington WMC 4-2 in the final of the Weardale Cup at West Auckland.
Ellis Codd put Middlestone Moor ahead after just 5 mins but Willington levelled in the 12th minute through Ryan Ward. Clear cut chances were few and there was little between the two sides in the first half.
A superb 20 yard free kick from Aaron Jackson made it 2-1 to Middlestone Moor in the 62nd minute. Further Middlestone Moor pressure was rewarded with a well worked third goal finished off by Scott Maughan. Ross Morrow added a fourth for Middlestone Moor in the 85th minute and Michael Hull pulled a second goal back for Willington with two minutes remaining
Middlestone Moor had been much the better side in the second half and Willington could have no complaints.
