First points for Glaxo

Barnard Castle Glaxo Rangers picked up their first points of the season with a fully deserved 3-1 win at Stanhope SSC. It all started so well for Stanhope and James Gristwood bagged their opener on 15 minutes. Glaxo were level by half time and two second half goals secured the points. It was a lethargic display from Stanhope who had to wait till the 89th minute for their second shot on target. Glaxo scorers Will Woodhouse, David Patterson and Jack Walker.
Middlestone Moor opened their campaign with a 7-2 victory at home to Evenwood Town. Ross Morrow top scored with four goals with Scott Maughan, Adam Watson and Ellis Codd completing the scoresheet.
Second division leaders Heighington's good start to the season continued with a 6-2 victory over Wynyard The Stables. Yannick Ayemou bagged a brace for the victors with further goals courtesy of Lee Gray, Ryan Mercer, Martin Butterworth and an own goal. James Dexter and Jacob Ellington responded for The Stables.
Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph consolidated second spot with a 6-1 win at Ferryhill. Jack Oliver notched a hat trick with further Telegraph goals from Zach Barrigan, Reed Molloy and Jimmy Cameron. Chrissy Hardy bagged the Ferryhill consolation.
