Ferryhill and Heighington in 10 goal thriller

There was a cracking match at Ferryhill where the Town and visitors Heighington shared ten goals. Brad Wilkinson bagged a brace for Ferryhill with further goals courtesy of Cameron Black, Jack Birbeck and Richie Brown. "It was a pulsating game and both sides could have scored more" reports Ferryhill's Jeff Spooner.
Wolsingham FC won a high scoring encounter at Stanley Town 5-4. Liam Ridley and Cameron Askew both scored twice for the home side. "A cracking game" was the verdict of Stanley sec Ryan Young.
Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph made it two wins from two in beating Crook Wanderers 5-3. Reed Molloy netted a hat trick for the victors and two from Glenn Hendrix completed their scoresheet. Luke Ellison (2) and Paul Bailes scored for Wanderers. Telegraph's Declan Middleton summed up "Cracking end to end game".
Willington WMC top division one following a 5-0 victory at Barnard Castle Glaxo Rangers. Scorers for the visitors were Ellis Wymer, Matty Littlefair, Danny Lee, Jamie Mason and Aaron Renwick. Maximum points from their opening two games sees Willington three points clear.
