Willington through to Auckland final

Willington WMC won through to the final of the Auckland Charity cup with a 2-1 victory at Ferryhill Town. The winners of Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph v Middlestone Moor await in the final.
Despite having to concede home advantage, Newton Aycliffe Royal Telegraph reached the semi final of the of the Bob Strophair Durham Minor Cup with a superb 2-0 win at Birtley Town Development. Ryan Peart and Lochie Scott were the scorers.
Middlestone Moor booked their place in the semi final of the Alan Britton Memorial Trophy with a 5-1 win at Evenwood Town. Scorers for Middlestone Moor were Mason Morrow (2), Willis White (2) and Rhys Porter while Ashley Murphy reduced the arrears.
Barnard Castle reached the last four with a 6-1 win at home to second division Wolsingham. Rob West (2), Richard Borrowdale, Rob Dixon, Paul Taylor and Tom Hammond saw Barney through.
Stanhope SSC missed out on the opportunity to go second when they were held to a 2-2 draw at Glaxo Rangers. The home side took a 1-0 lead but Stanhope were on terms at half time through Declan Coates. Aydan Bowers put Stanhope ahead in the 46th minute but Glaxo earned a share of the spoils from a "disputed" penalty. Jamie McDougall and Harrison Saunders were on target for Glaxo with secretary Andrew Hall reporting "it was a good hard fought game".
Crook Wanderers first away league game produced a 6-1 win at Stanley Town. A Robinson bagged a pair with further Wanderers goals courtesy of D Smith, A Blair, D Mahan and C Box. Ryan Lister reduced the deficit with a cracking goal for Stanley.
Unbeaten Heighington are the new leaders in division two after a brace from Martin Butterworth secured a 2-1 win at Wynyard The Stables. Peter Harbron scored for The Stables.
