Wolsingham's hopes of securing a Durham Minor Cup semi final spot ended with a quarter final defeat at Durham FC Juniors today. The dales side went 2-0 down in the first half but Dagan Taylor pulled it back to 2-1 at half time. Unfortunately Wolsingham had a poor spell early in the second half when they conceded three goals in quick succession. Durham went on to complete a 6-2 win with Michael Stothart bagging Wolsingham's second goal. Darlington Deacon won through to the quarter final stage in beating Barnard Castle Glaxo Rangers 3-0. Early goals from Liam Jarvie and Josh Ward saw Deacon lead 2-0 at the interval and Danny Longstaff added a third in the second half. Deacon will now face a trip to holders Hebburn Under 23's on 8 May.
